Dig & Clean Getting Started Guide

Dig & Clean by Squeaky Clean! is a satisfying treasure-hunting simulator. You sweep a metal detector, dig up buried junk, spray it clean to reveal a gem, antique or treasure, then keep the rarest finds in your own museum while tourists pay you over time. Luck decides how rare your finds are — and rare finds are where the Gold is.

This guide teaches the durable loop and the honest upgrade path. The developer does not publish exact numbers, so treat specific prices and values as community-observed and check the current game for live values.

The loop in one minute

  1. Detect — sweep your metal detector until it flags a glowing dig spot.
  2. Dig — equip a shovel and click the spot to pull a dirty find out.
  3. Clean — take it to the Workstation and spray it until the dirt is gone.
  4. Sort — once it is revealed, decide to keep it or sell it.
  5. Keep the rares — place high-value finds on your museum display dock.
  6. Upgrade — spend Gold on a better detector, shovel or spray bottle.

Everything else in this wiki supports that loop.

Your first ten minutes

  1. Launch only from the official place: roblox.com/games/83038462357724.
  2. Finish the short tutorial — it unlocks the Shop button you need for codes.
  3. Dig a few starter spots with your free Plastic Shovel and Rusty Detector.
  4. Always spray an item clean before you judge it. A dirty find that looks like junk can be a gem.
  5. Sell your first few common finds for Gold and buy the Copper Detector (x3 Luck).
  6. Keep filling your museum display slots — an empty slot earns nothing.

What to prioritize early

  • Detectors first. Luck decides how rare your finds are. A better detector changes what you dig up, not just how much.
  • Shovels second. Higher dig power digs faster and breaks open heavier, rarer spots. When the game says your shovel is too weak, upgrade.
  • Sprays last. Cleaning speed does not change what you find or earn — buy a better spray once your detector and shovel are strong.

Mindset for a collection game

Your museum is your passive income engine. Fill every display slot as soon as you can, then swap in better pieces as you find them. Sell the duplicates and the common junk — you need cash, not a warehouse of Rusty Anchors.

Treat rare reveals as the goal. The “1 in X” readout on a cleaned item tells you how lucky you were; higher numbers and higher value mean keep it for the museum.

What not to do

  • Don’t sell a find before cleaning it — you are guessing blind.
  • Don’t grind small tool upgrades when you can save toward the Shipwreck Cove trip.
  • Don’t trust fake code lists. Redeem only codes confirmed on the official channels (see Codes).
